Power Training Services (PTS) provides a range of courses for contractors and individuals working on or near the network.  

To be authorised to work on Western Power’s network, contractors must meet specific training requirements. This includes the successful completion of both nationally recognised and Western Power-specific training requirements. 

At a minimum, contractors must complete the following training before undertaking any work on the network: 

  • Operational Safety at Western Power
  • Provide First Aid  
  • White Card – WA (CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
