Learner Information
Enrolments
To enrol yourself or another person in a course we will require participant details; this information will be stored as part of the learner's contact record. As a minimum the following must be provided:
- the participant's full name
- email address
- date of birth; and
- mobile phone number
When first accessing our training and competency management system (aXcelerate) to view or manage your enrolments and training records, you may be prompted to complete an onboarding form with additional information.
If you are enrolling in a training program that leads to a nationally recognised qualification you will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
If you do not have a USI, you can apply for one via the USI website.
Dress standards
Due to the practical and operational nature of most of our training, a strict dress code is enforced for all courses across all training locations.
Specific dress requirements for each public course are outlined in the course description.
Please note: learners who arrive without appropriate attire will not be permitted to participate in training, and full course fees will apply.
The minimum dress standards are as follows:
PTS training room
- Long-sleeved shirt
- Full-length pants
- Flat, closed toe shoes
Please note: The following items are not acceptable: t-shirts, shorts, thongs, or sandals.
Operational areas
The following is the minimum personal protective equipment (PPE) that must be worn when working in operational areas:
- Long-sleeved shirt
- Full-length pants
- Safety footwear
- Safety helmet
- Safety glasses
- High-visibility vest (if your shirt does not meet visibility standards)
Task specific PPE will be required as detailed in the Western Power PPE Procedure
Attendance
At the beginning of each class, your trainer will ask you to sign the attendance sheet.
If you are unable to attend, please notify us as early as possible (no later than 8:00am) on the day of your scheduled training.
Prerequisites
Some courses require you to have completed prior training or to hold specific qualifications or licenses before you can begin; these are known as prerequisites.
If you are enrolling in a course with prerequisites, you will need to provide evidence that you meet them before training begins.
Course outcomes
All training you complete is recorded in our training and competency management system.
- A Testamur and Record of Results will be issued once all qualification requirements are successfully met
- A Statement of Attainment will be provided for any courses where a Unit of Competency is completed
- A Certificate of Attendance will be issued for enterprise courses that do not include nationally recognised units
Certifications will be accessible to learners via their aXcelerate learner profile.
For courses delivered through a partner RTO that result in a Unit Of Competency, the Statement of Attainment will be issued by the partner RTO.
Credit transfer
As an RTO, PTS recognises qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other RTO's across all Australian states and territories, in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Credit transfer allows learners to receive recognition for units previously completed at another RTO, provided those units align with the Units of Competency in the qualification they are enrolling in at PTS.

PTS is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all learner records. Your information will not be shared with any third party without your prior consent. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Statement.
PTS is required to report certain demographic data to the Training Accreditation Council of WA (TACWA) and the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER). All reported information is non-identifiable and used solely for statistical and research purposes.
